Woah! I've finally finished helping out for the Open House 2010.
Was helping out as the role of a Student Leader and our jobs were to go to the Sec Sch assigned to us and bring them on a tour around Republic Poly...
1st day (07/01)
Was originally assigned to Holy Innocents High School but as my partner (i have no idea who he is) did not come, i was posted to Orchid Park Sec Sch instead. We only had 13 students in our hands, (thankfully) and a teacher around so it was quite managable. Met a TP guy who was doing the same job as us but, alone and with 30-40 students instead...haha..poor guy was complaining the whole time in OPSS...
Had Grace along with me and we explored the place collecting badges together with the students ;D
Surprisingly, most of the students, especially girls, were interested in SEG, Engineering.
Had a pretty fun time meeting new people, from sec sch and RP, but suffered leg cramps twice as a result of walking around for too long.
2nd day (08/01)
Finally went to HIHS today and were assigned half a class of 18 students per pair of SLs. This batch was not as interactive as the previous batch and Yuting & I just led them around while encouraging them to play the games and view the booths...
They finally opened up and interacted after visiting SHL's booths.
Guess they're pretty interested in Sports den..
Was glad to see School of Hospitality ( SOH ) [my sch!! :D ] 's booths being very lively and psyched. The spirit was really there, with the dances, fashion shows, dunking games etc. SOH rocks :) Other interesting booths includes SAS, SHL, and CCC. I got my media pass made there! :)
Ended my shift at around 5 plus, and went home with a pair of very very VERY sore feet and a nice shirt clad with badges :D
