Back from BB & GB Combined Camp 2010 :)
Finally had a camp that I've been looking forward to and it was great :D
Was in the organising commitee (OC) this time round in Logistics & First Aid and thus, the experience was different then when I was a camper.
The campers consists of the junior BB boys from Fengshan Pri, BB boys and GB girls from BNSS.
Was assigned to Team 2, CCP, to lead together with Wei Ming.
Thank God for a fun partner that helped made being in the team more fun :)
Went for bowling after registration at Kallang Leisure and went back to the school after dinner for Teambuilding games and flag making before going for the CE talk.
However, I didn't make it for the talk as my stomach flu suddenly acted up =(
Was lucky that Jeffrey had some gastric medicine which stopped the pain quickly and I was able to join after a while for supper :)
DAY 2
Woke up at 6.30am and we had breakfast before we all got ready to leave for CIP at AMK.
I gave that a miss as I really had to go home to get my medicine, can't afford to break down during the camp.
Returned later and helped to prepare for the Amazing Race.
Started off at around 4.30pm at Victoria Concert Hall, and started to plan our route to get to the 1st checkpoint. That's when Wei Ming & I realised that we were both 路痴. -.-"
Great. Hahahas...& we switched our name tags for fun, so I was actually labelled Wei Ming for like, half of the camp. lols..
Still managed to do pretty well though, we finished 6 out of 9 checkpoints and I was really pleased to see 2 girls in my group, who were pretty quiet, taking the lead in the Amazing Race and leading the team :)
Justin, Wei Ming & I did some navigations as well and the day went pretty smoothly and happily as a lot of bonding was done during the race.
Though the same can't be said for Team 1, who made a mistake thinking that Far East SQUARE was Far East PLAZA, and walked all the way from Amara to Orchard. *salutes + LOLS!!!*
Everyone met up at Plaza Singapura which was the last checkpoint for Shrek 4 the movie, before proceeding back to school. Wei Ming was nice enough to get the team Subway Cookies before getting back. Yum :)
(yeah it's random, but i'm hungry now :P)
Dammit, saw a stupid cockroach heading near my bag and shoes in the music room and wanted to smack it but plan failed and it chased me instead. T.T
Nearly teared. I hate cockroaches more than ever now. =(
But at least my shoes were safe.
PS : Thanks for lending me your windbreaker Yong Siang :)
Saved me from turning into an ice cube. But hoped you didn't freeze as well.
DAY 3
Woke up at 7.30am today as we all went to sleep late due to the movie the night before.
Had breakfast before having our CE talk, True Love Waits.
Had lunch before getting really busy preparing for Bethesda Sukan.
The youths from BC came down to participate in our games and the increase of people there made the atmosphere so much busier and lively :)
Had my 1st experience of being a referee for Captain's Ball together with Kim Hong.
It was pretty fun even though the weather was pretty hot. But still, it was better than rain.
Managed to have more bonding time with the guys and girls. Had a hearty chat cum discussion with Dominic, Miao Jun came to the Sukan as well and I love having her around :) , got along pretty well with Jasper and Justin during the whole camp too :) . Wei Ming & I exchanging tags again, but this time, others followed. Haa...

Ended camp at around 5 plus, 6 and some of us went ot get dinner at Mac before going home to sleep like logs. More stuff happened of course, but I'm too tired to write further. Hee...
