Canoeing! :)

I finally went for my 1st Canoeing training! :)

Had to juggle between going for ALC's student leader training or Canoeing's physical training.
In the end, i went for both.

Anw, what we did today was....
started off with running a distance of 4.5km (equiv to cross country) while being timed as they needed to benchmark us.

I finished with a timing of 37.12 mins. Haha...i'm very happy with myself already.
The ex-ex-captain of canoeing who graduated, came back to train us today and he said that Jeslyn and I don't have to "kill ourselves over it" as it was only our 1st training and it might be tough for us since the rest was already accustomed to the training routine.

Still managed to complete the run. Although we were lacking behind most of the guys in Canoeing IG, still felt happy because of my timing. If i could attain that during my sec sch cross-country, i would have jumped for joy.

After the run, we went to the fitness corner to do exercise sets.
Omg they were horrible!!

We were made to do 35 wide push ups, 40 sit ups, 35 burpees, and many MANY more. Too much that i lost count. I scraped my knees and hand while doing pushups on a very rough floor and it rubbed against the floor as we held the push-up position for about 10 secs.

Held it in the position till I started feeling very trembly and my knees got scraped even more as i slide across the floor. So i have 2 bruised and scraped knees now :(
Furthermore, he (the trainer) told us that the training that we have is the toughest in the whole school. So much so that we are being trained even tougher than RP's Dragonboaters. OMG!!

Nearly died when i heard that. It was so tiring, and by the way that he describe the training sessions, it's like we were going to hell. No training sessions were going to be easy. As if it was easy, we wouldn't really be training ourselves anyway.

BB & GB combined camp end on the 6th. Canoeing IG's training (hell) camp is on the 7th - 9th.
OMG someone save me...

And no. I'm not going to quit.
At least not till I find out more about this IG and whether I have what it takes to remain in it.
And yeah, I have to at least try the water training 1st.
