Goodbyes

Once again...the time came for me to say the word i hated saying most, and that is Goodbye.

Today was my last day working at The Black Sheep Cafe and i felt sad when the time came for me to leave. Working at the cafe has certainly taught me new skills and let me gain interesting experience. I had my fair of good and bad times at the cafe, and thankfully, more good than bad.
I learnt things like how to take orders, promote new dishes, a thing or two about wine and even how to hold a plate properly while serving it to a customer. Many people might think it's absurd that such a simple thing, or so they thought, have to be taught. But it might not occur to most people that when you are handling the plate, your thumb which supports it must NEVER touch the top surface of the plate. Thus, making it a little difficult to hold, and mind you, the plate is heavy and hot.

Anyway, I certainly will miss my fellow waiters colleagues (i'm the only girl) , the chefs, and the dish-washing auntie. A great many thanks to :
- Chef Ratha (my boss) for introducing me this job and teaching me all the useful skills that i have learnt.
- Wilson (asst.chef) for making me feel welcome to the new surroundings and guiding me through the 1 mth there. You've also given me helpful info about the service line. Also labelled as 'cute' (inside joke).
- Johnson, for being so jolly and helpful. You're my great chatting buddy and i've learnt a lot through you. Extra thanks for helping me yesterday when i scalded my finger.
-Leo, for being the lame sadistic newcomer who lightens our spirits with your cheeky jokes and actions but always there to help whenever it is needed.
- Git, and Silva on tips which were greatly beneficial to me as a newcomer and for making me feel welcome.
-& lastly, Auntie for being my chatting buddy and for giving me advice whenever i escape to the kitchen when Chef starts scolding people. I will certainly miss u and today is the last time that i hear u call me 'xiao mei'. Your words today, '' i won't have xiao mei to talk to again after today =( '' made me wish that the others will replace me and spend some time with you at the back so you won't be lonely.As for your advice on job opportunities, i will take it into great consideration. =)
