Proceeded to my new workplace with a heavy heart and a strong longing to go back to the cafe. Arrived at BSC at 10am and ended work at 7pm. There were 3 new pri1 children here today and they were pretty cute. Quite enjoyed being a teacher for a while and having the children calling me ' Teacher Jing Han' (which is way better than 'miss poh' as i'll freak out).
However, it juz isn't the same as when i'm working in the cafe. On the way back,I was thinking about the cafe and wasn't paying attention while crossing the road. Imagine the shock i got when i was nearly ran over by a bus. Thankfully, another alert driver sounded his horn and i was jerked back into reality and stopped in time. It left me trembling like a leaf once i reached the safety of the pavement. Stood there clearing my thoughts and calmed myself down before continuing walking home.
The reason why i missed them so much was because i might not be returning there again and that all of us did not exchange contacts and i had no way of contacting them at all. Thus, i was utterly surprised when i received a friendster comment from Johnson. He had mangaged to find my profile, although i had absolutely no idea how. Finally, I managed to keep in contact with at least one of them. That wave of relief and sense of happiness was beyond my imagination & I was just so very glad.
And to top it off, i recieved a letter from the Edusave Awards informing me that i have been awarded the EAGLES awards & the school will present me an award voucher of $150.00 in Jan 2009. It came as a pleasant surprise as i was not expecting anything like that since i've completed my secondary school journey. Thankful for the unexpected award and i hope that my friends have also been showered with this blessing, better still with scholarships =)
