Went for DITD dry run today and it turned out to be pretty....fun.
The plans were still in working progress and we had our experience of walking straight in the dark today and finding our positions.
The whole thing lasted from 5-7.30pm and by the time i reached Bedok, it was already 9.15pm.
Things didn't stop there though. Walked nearer to my block only to find the fire brigade,ambulance,and police under my grandma's block (opp mine).
There was quite a commotion and the smell of smoke was quite strong. It turned out that there was a fire on the 9th storey and they were putting out the fire. The fire was apparently quite big as the entire unit, the unit beside it, and the units on the 10th and 11th storey was as black as charcoal.
The window grills on the 9th storey was poker red and that the door and lock had expanded so much, the firemen couldn't break it down and had to use a saw in the end. The owners were said to be in JB for a holiday, can't imagine their faces when they see this big surprise.
I had to wait for 45 mins before the firemen allowed me to enter the building to fetch my sister home. Quite an eventful night but i think i inhaled too much smoke which activated my wheezing. Now i have to use my inhaler again. -.-"
